Terms of Service

Effective Date: 23 November  2025

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to participate in any FitBet challenge.
By creating an account or entering a challenge, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18

  • The information you provide is accurate

  • You are legally permitted to participate in prize-based fitness competitions in your region

2. Connecting Your Fitness Data

To participate fully in a challenge, you may need to connect your Strava account.
By connecting, you authorise FitBet to:

  • Access your activity duration

  • Retrieve your HR minutes (e.g. minutes above 120bpm)

  • Access timestamps and summary activity information

  • Store your Strava Athlete ID and refresh token

  • Use this data strictly for scoring challenges, maintaining leaderboards and administering prizes

FitBet does not access:

  • Messages

  • Private health information beyond the metrics you allow via Strava permissions

You may revoke Strava access at any time through Strava’s settings.

3. Challenge Rules and Scoring

Each challenge has fixed scoring rules, which may include:

  • Daily activity requirements

  • HR thresholds

  • Point bonuses and multipliers

  • Streak rules

  • Minimum activity durations

Official Games Rules can be viewed on the FitBet app. Any variable scoring rules, such as HR target or scoring duration window will be detailed on the corresponding challenge page.

Scoring is based solely on verified Strava data.
FitBet may correct, reject or remove activities that appear inaccurate, impossible, or in breach of challenge rules.

4. Entry Fees, Refunds and Prize Payouts

Some challenges require an entry fee. All payments are processed securely by Stripe.

Refunds

Entry fees are non-refundable once a challenge has started, except if FitBet cancels the challenge.

Prize Payouts

  • Prizes are are assigned and distributed according to the Prize Table that can be found on each individual challenge page.

  • Winners will be contacted to confirm bank details.

  • Payments are made within 7 days of the challenge ending.

  • Participants are responsible for providing correct payment information.

  • FitBet is not responsible for failed payouts caused by incorrect details.

The Prize Table updates as participants join and is finalised when entries close.

Entering a challenge does not guarantee a prize. Prizes depend on relative performance and challenge rules.

5. Fair Play, Conduct and Disqualification

FitBet may remove or disqualify participants for:

  • Manipulating or falsifying activity data

  • Attempting to exploit scoring systems or system behaviour

  • Using unsupported / prohibited data sources

  • Abusive behaviour toward the community or FitBet staff

  • Violating these Terms

If you are removed for misconduct, no refund will be issued.

FitBet’s decisions on scoring, eligibility, and disqualification are final.

6. Service Availability & Changes

FitBet may update:

  • Challenge rules/formats

  • Scoring methods/systems

  • Feature availability

  • Platform functionality

  • Payout models

  • These Terms of Service

Updates may be communicated via the FitBet app, email (if provided), Instagram (@fitbet.challenge), or www.joinfitbet.com.

7. Liability

You understand that participation in fitness challenges carries inherent risks.
FitBet is not liable for injury, illness, or health issues arising from physical activity.
Always exercise safely and within your personal limits.

FitBet is not responsible for errors, delays, or inaccuracies caused by third-party services such as Strava, Stripe, Bubble or any other services that FitBet utilises for the operation of the platform.

FitBet is not responsible for missing or incorrect activity data caused by device issues, wearable inaccuracies, sync problems, or connectivity failures. Participants are responsible for ensuring their device is functioning and syncing properly with Strava.

FitBet is not liable for losses caused by downtime, bugs, service interruptions, or issues outside our reasonable control.
